The Details:
The main objective of this garage conversion in Duddingston, Edinburgh was to utilise the clients junk gathering external garage which had become more of a dumping ground over the years.
This was part of a large scale renovation project of the property over several years for this family.
A particularly challenging project in comparison to an integral newbuild garage in the sense that we had to install a brand new roof to ensure the height of the ceiling aligned with the existing property.
We achieved the stunning results below by removing the dividing wall between the garage and the existing living space, with our in house team installing the appropriate steel work, creating the dream space the family had imagined for so long.
To ensure enough natural light go into the space, we incorporated a roof light in the kitchen space as one of the main highlight features of this project. Some of the other features which were top of the clients list were the inclusion of wall panelling details, light boxes and a large TV media wall.
This project was larger than most others with a timeline of a couple of months. However, to ensure minimal disruption and still give the family use of the dining space throughout a large period of the time, we installed a temporary partition wall.

The Details:
Struggling for space working from home and frustrated by the layout of the ground floor of this home on the south of Edinburgh, this young couple asked us to undertake a complete remodel and create their dream space.
By removing an existing stud wall and condensing the size of the garage, we were able to extend the kitchen area creating additional worktop and storage space for the client.
This particular client had a few features on her vision board for many years now including the stunning sliding cottage door we installed between the garage and utility space.
Whilst undertaking the conversion we also carried out a complete kitchen remodel, saving the client hassle dealing with any contractors further down the line.

The Details:
With a growing family and a living room that felt more like a hall to them straight off the front door, this client was keen to create an additional living room which would be multipurpose for both working from home, the children to play in and an additional living room.
With excellent insultation throughout, this is now their go to room when it comes to relaxing and watching TV.
We were able to complete this job whilst the family were on holiday as we had to relocate the boiler. The client was kept up to date throughout and their dream space was finalised upon their arrival back.

As is the case with many newbuild homes, this client found that the garage space was actually too small to park their cars in. Our team actually carried out a conversion on there neighbours property a few months prior as you'll see above.
Much like their neighbours, the layout of the ground floor of the property was very limited meaning that they didn't have a proper space to sit down and enjoy family meals.
In only a matter of weeks, we converted this unused garage into a stunning kitchen diner by removing the dividing wall, installing a brand new kitchen and undertaking all decorative work to add the finishing touches.

Another popular conversion into a kitchen diner for this project with yet another family with lack of space to enjoy family dinners and entertain friends.
Throughout this project we blocked up the existing garage door entrance and created a large double door opening in the centre of the room to create a more spacious feel to the ground floor of the property.
As with most of these types of projects, we converted the garage, installed the new kitchen, opened up the space by removing the dividing wall and added the finishing touches including flooring, painting and more within only a matter of weeks to create this large, bright family space.

With a double garage to utilise, they decided to convert only on side into a beautiful additional bedroom which their teenage daughter was more than thrilled with.
This conversion was complete with bespoke fitted wardrobes and wall panelling installed by our team to provide seamless storage and and a unique feel to the room.
